Image of the WTC from the Staten Island Ferry, not long after the ferry departed the terminus.
During the past year, two friends have visited the city. Last August, John Donnelly came to the Big Apple from Toronto. His first trip. John was estatic about the beauty of New York: the sheer size of it seemed to floor him. Everything here was big. People everywhere. John was psyched!

During John's visit, I was suppose to meet him along with another friend at the Staten Island ferry, in the same area of downtown near the WTC. But due to usual confusion with trains, I was delayed. I went on ahead and took the ferry. I was just filled with pride at the New York City skyline. I felt both silly for having such an emotinal response to something that so many take for granted, but all I could think was..."its just beautiful!" Hell, I was pysched!
